Slovakia is member country of European Union. Even in the past, the economy was extremely open, mainly to the closest countries: Czech republic, Poland, Austria etc. Slovakia is oriented on exporting goods mainly to european area, as well as importing goods from variety of countries all over the world. Few years ago, Slovakia adopted EURO currency, which affected the export possibilities and allowed to better react on crysis from the year 2008.
